Dongfeng Motors PH recently made a successful rebrand under a new management team, along with its introduction of new models and a kick start of its “Drive your Friend” campaign, held at the Metrotent Convention Center in Ortigas, Mandaluyong City.

At the onset, it may just be an ordinary rebranding of the Chinese carmaker. But what’s interesting is that leading the management team, this time, is none other than veteran industry leader, Atty. Albert Arcilla.

“After thirty years of serving and providing the best ownership experience to thousands of clients, I thought I have already done my share, and it was time to lay back,” he said during the opening part of his lengthy speech at the brand’s event at Metrotent recently.

“But here I am again back at the driver’s seat, back on the road and ready to serve,” he added.

For Arcilla, as the newly-hired managing director of the company, he’s glad to take the opportunity to work with a new dynamic team of individuals who will forge all the four brands under the Dongfeng Motors Corporation: Dongfeng Motors, Aelous, Forthing and Voyah.

Dongfeng, he continued, is an excellent technological enterprise that provides high-quality automotive products and services to global customers. It regards “Quality,” “Intelligence,” and “Harmony” as its core values to build products and services with excellent quality, technological innovation, and global operation.

With the company’s newly-introduced initiative, dubbed: “Drive Your Friend”, the ceremony also introduced the new models under the carmaker Rich 7, Nammi, Forthing U-Tour, MHero and Aeolus Mage, together with its other models Aeolus Huge, Forthing Friday, and Nanobox.

The past six months and looking forward

The event likewise served as an opportunity for Dongfeng Philippines to share its milestones for the past six months.

In a way, the company’s focus on sustainability, exceptional quality, and customer centricity have somehow penetrated the local market; and have achieved feats in product launches, sales performance, dealer network expansion, brand recognition, and customer satisfaction.

“Within just six months of operations, Dongfeng Motors has successfully penetrated the Philippine market, established a strong presence and gained traction among consumers,” Brennan Lim, Deputy CEO of Legado Motors, Inc (LMI), for his part, shared during the event.

“Despite being a new player in the industry, our sales performance has exceeded expectations, demonstrating the market’s positive reception of the Dongfeng Motors brand,” he added.

With a new team under its fold, along with its new vehicles and marketing campaign, the carmaker aims to take the brand further to new heights in the next few months.

“In the following days, weeks and months, we will continue to share with you more information about Dongfeng Motors as we grow the value proposition of the Dong Feng Brands,” Arcilla concluded.
