Anko expands PH footprint, enters Quezon City retail market

Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko is entering the retail market in Quezon City, the most populous city in the country, with the opening of its largest local store to date.
The new store that will open in July at the Ayala Group’s Trinoma Mall will span 1,634 square meters (sq m), with 1,421 sq m allocated for retail space. This will be Anko’s third store in the country.
“Opening at Trinoma is a natural next step for Anko in the Philippines. We want to be where Filipino families already shop for their homes, and Metro Manila’s top malls provide the perfect space to introduce more people to our brand,” Anko global CEO Arjun Puri said in a statement.
Puri emphasized the company’s strategy of optimizing its product development process, enabling it to offer quality home essentials at consistently low prices.
“By overseeing the entire process—from design and sourcing to production and retail—we streamline operations and reduce costs. This enables us to provide well-designed, functional products that reflect international trends at prices that are accessible to our Filipino customers,” he said.
The opening of Anko’s third and largest store comes just months after its debut in the Philippines, following the launch of its first store at Glorietta 2 Mall in Makati in November 2024.
The second Anko store will open at the Alabang Town Center, Muntinlupa City later this May.
Anko Philippines country manager Rachel Turner said this expansion signaled optimism for their growing business in the Philippines.
“Anko is all about making everyday living brighter. With our Trinoma store, we are very excited to bring even more shoppers home and lifestyle essentials designed to match every lifestyle,” she said.
According to the Philippine Retailers Association, the local retail industry is projected to grow between 5 percent and 10 percent this year, reaching an estimated P5 trillion in gross value.
