Mining firm Benguet Corp. saw its bottom line surge by 74 percent in 2025, driven by stronger operational output across its core gold and nickel operations, as well as higher commodity prices.

In a disclosure to the local bourse on Friday, the company said consolidated net income rose to P760 million from P436 million in 2024, reflecting what it described as “strong financial performance.”

Revenues climbed 38 percent to P3.31 billion from P2.39 billion a year earlier. This marked what the company described as its most significant top-line growth in recent years.

This increase came on the back of improved output across its core gold and nickel operations, combined with higher commodity prices.

Benguet also cited gains from operational efficiency and a continued focus on optimum capacity utilization, which contributed to margin expansion.

Basic earnings per share rose 74 percent to P1.06 from P0.61 previously, which Benguet said reflects “not just revenue growth but the quality and sustainability of BC’s earnings.”

Also, Benguet said its board of directors approved a cash dividend of P0.28 per share for holders of the company’s Convertible Preferred Class “A” shares. The record date is April 16 and payment is scheduled for May 13.
