BIZ BUZZ: Bolzico cooking up a bigger venture
Argentine entrepreneur Nico Bolzico, the proud husband of artist and celebrity Solenn Heusaff, is cooking up a bigger venture.
Bolzico and other investors behind feeds manufacturer are looking to put in an additional P50 million in a project in Bulacan, that aims to meet the country’s rising demand for animal feed.
The investment will go to increasing the output of the company’s existing facility in Sta. Maria town without having to construct new facilities or expand the footprint.
The project responds to the increasing demand for high-quality animal feeds within and outside Central Luzon, as well as contributes to the overall stability and efficiency of the agricultural value chain.
“By upgrading processes and integrating additional operational components, the project seeks to enhance productivity and ensure a steady, reliable supply of feeds critical for livestock, poultry, and aquaculture sectors—not only in Luzon but also across other parts of the country,” Vienovo Philippines said in its government submission.
The firm targets to complete the project—which will be carried out in three phases—in about 19 months. According to LinkedIn, Bolzico is the company’s vice president. He is also behind Chingolo Deli and Bolzico Beef.
Bolzico is also involved in improving livestock genetics through embryo transfer and the production of local animal proteins.
Another major investor is Quiet Thunder Ventures Inc., led by Joel Marcelo Jimenez, a member of the board of directors of GMA Network Inc., the dominant free TV player and GMA Ventures Inc.
Jimenez has been active in livestock, agro and aquaculture.
Completing the list is TRISKALLIANCE, which is bringing its animal nutrition and health know-how through formulation technology, feed manufacturing technology and Innovation.
