BIZ BUZZ: Finally, a treat for consumers
Here’s some good news for harried consumers.
According to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), consumers can avail themselves of free rides at the Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 on Oct. 26.
Free rides are available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The DTI announced free MRT-3 rides in partnership with the Department of Transportation to commemorate Consumer Welfare Month.
Issued in September 1997, Presidential Proclamation No. 1098 declares the month of October as Consumer Welfare Month to highlight the vital role of consumers in the vitality of the economy.
