BIZ BUZZ: Lim takes the reins of MAP
A leadership shift is also coming to the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP).
After the term of outgoing MAP president and PLDT and Smart director Alfredo Panlilio, DITO CME Holdings president Donald Lim is set to take the mantle of one of the largest groups of senior executives in the Philippines.
Lim has extensive experience in the Philippines’ tech and telco ecosystem, being the founding president of the Blockchain Council of the Philippines, Cybersecurity Council of the Philippines and Global AI Council Philippines.
Lim also brings academic depth to the post.
He has taught in several universities and has authored the books “Cybersecurity Unmasked,” “Blockchain Unlocked” and the upcoming “AI Unleashed.”
Lim was also once part of the Inquirer group of companies.
Joining Lim on the MAP 2026 Board of Governors are CEO Advisors, Inc. managing director Marianne Hontiveros as vice president; SGV & Company chair Wilson Tan as treasurer; AC Health president and CEO Paolo Borromeo as assistant treasurer; and GT Capital Holdings independent director Gil Genio as secretary.
Rounding out the board are Pepsi-Cola Products Philippines vice chair Rafael Alunan III; SKAL Makati International chair Jaime Bautista; BPI Asset Management and Trust Corp. president and CEO Maria Theresa Marcial; and Metro Pacific Investments Corp. director of government and public affairs Michael Toledo.
