BIZ BUZZ: New seats at Security Bank’s executive table

Emmanuel John Abris

Security Bank Corp. is giving its executive floor a makeover.

The bank approved designation changes affecting 14 senior officers as it reorganizes responsibilities across customer management, products, technology and distribution.

Four technology executives will assume revised assignments on Oct. 1. Among them, Vivek Yadav will become products and payments technology chief, while Amaneci Grace de Silva will lead customer journey experience business technology operations.

The larger reshuffle will take effect on Jan. 1, 2027.

Hirofumi Umeno will become chief customer officer for wholesale, while chief marketing officer Ma. Patricia Tan will take on the corresponding retail role.

Leslie Cham will shift from branch banking group head to branch coverage head.

Yvonne Joanna Marcelo, currently corporate banking head, will oversee wholesale coverage.

Other executives will take charge of wholesale lending, financial markets, investments, trading and treasury, wealth relationship management and retail lending sales.

The changes look less like routine title adjustments and more like a redrawing of Security Bank’s command map as CEO Victor Lee shifts the lender’s focus from setting strategy to delivering results.

The reshuffle also comes with two exits.

Retail banking segment head Rahul Rasal will leave for personal reasons effective Dec. 31, although he will transition out of his post on Oct. 1.
