BIZ BUZZ: Newport’s honors
Traveling is always even more of a treat when the accommodation is especially relaxing and welcoming.
There are, of course, many ingredients that make up the perfect hotel stay, and this is precisely why Newport World Resorts and its brands recently took home several awards.
Travel + Leisure magazine named Hilton Manila’s Vega Pool one of the country’s Best Hotel Pools for its “thoughtful resort-style design and the seamless, relaxing experiences it creates for guests.”
Apart from this, Hotel Okura Manila secured its seat as one of the Top 10 Best City Hotels in the Philippines for its blend of Japanese and Filipino cultures.
The same goes for Manila Marriott Hotel, which also took its place in the Top 10.
“These recognitions from Travel + Leisure Southeast Asia reaffirm the world-class service our hotels deliver every day,” Newport World Resorts chief hospitality officer John Lucas said in a statement on Thursday.
“They are a testament to the dedication and passion of our teams, whose commitment to thoughtful, seamless hospitality continues to elevate the guest experience across our entire property,” Lucas added.
The full hotel experience wouldn’t be complete without the right leadership.
For their “visionary leadership and commitment to hospitality,” Sheraton Manila Hotel’s Anna Vergara and Hilton Manila’s Gagan Talwar each took home a best general manager award.
