BIZ BUZZ: PAL returns to Sapporo

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will start bringing Filipinos back to Japan’s winter wonderland Sapporo with the revival of its nonstop flights late in November.
The seasonal flights, which would use the group’s 168-seater Airbus A321neo, would run until March 27, 2026, the air carrier said on Tuesday.
Flights would be set every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
PAL president Richard Nuttall said reconnecting Manila and Sapporo would help “strengthen both bilateral relations and cultural ties with our Japanese counterparts.”
“This route not only provides a convenient travel option for Filipino tourists and overseas workers, but also opens doors for Japanese travelers to explore and experience the Philippines’ vibrant culture and warm hospitality,” Nuttall said.
Sapporo is popular for its world-class skiing resorts and annual snow festival.
Definitely a cool comeback.
