BIZ BUZZ: SM is PH’s ‘strongest’ brand

There’s a measure of strength in the sports world, but there’s also one in the corporate world, just minus the physical weights.

In this case, SM Supermalls was named the Philippines’ “Strongest Brand” for 2025 by Brand Finance, a global brand valuation consultancy firm.

The mall giant had a standout Brand Strength Index score of 95 out of 100, emerging as the highest among Philippine brands.

“Being named the Philippines’ strongest brand affirms the passion and dedication of our SM family,” SM Supermalls president Steven Tan said in a statement on Tuesday. “But beyond the recognition, our greatest satisfaction comes from knowing we make people’s lives brighter every day—that’s what truly matters.”
