BIZ BUZZ: BSP kicks off 2026 National Banking Week
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) is starting the year on a celebratory note, officially launching the 2026 National Banking Week alongside the New Year festivities.
Running from Jan. 1 to Jan. 7, the annual event carries the theme “Filipinos and Banks: Together for Progress,” underscoring the role of banks as steady partners in the financial lives of Filipinos.
This year’s celebration puts the spotlight on how lenders support progress at every stage—from helping households save and invest, to financing businesses and fueling economic growth.
To get the message across, the BSP is encouraging banks to promote the National Banking Week theme across their platforms, including websites, social media channels and even ATM screen displays.
With banks and customers sharing the spotlight, the weeklong celebration aims to remind Filipinos that progress is a team effort.
