BIZ BUZZ: EJ’s dream

Some of us may still be on that Paris 2024 Olympics high, and we can’t really be blamed.

To indulge eager fans, Ayala Corp. will mount a major global pole vault event in the country. And, yes: this will most definitely include our own EJ Obiena.

On Sept. 20 to 21, the country’s oldest conglomerate will hold the Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge at the Ayala Triangle Gardens.

“Ayala is proud to partner with EJ for an event that celebrates Filipino excellence and marks the successes of our sporting heroes,” Ayala executive director Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala says in a statement.

EJ is just as thrilled: “It has been my lifelong dream to mount a world-class sporting event in my homeland to showcase Filipino talent and make the nation proud.”
