BIZ BUZZ: Megaworld bags back-to-back TIME nod
Megaworld is basking in another regional spotlight—and it appears the property giant is turning consistency into a corporate trademark.
The Andrew Tan-led developer has once again landed on TIME Magazine’s list of “Best Companies in Asia-Pacific,” marking its second-straight year on the prestigious ranking that measures performance through employee satisfaction, financial strength, and sustainability benchmarks.
This year, Megaworld climbed to No. 309 from its previous No. 374 spot, signaling stronger performance across key metrics. The company also secured the 26th highest employee satisfaction rating among firms in the Asia-Pacific region, underscoring its continued focus on workplace culture and talent engagement.
The recognition, released by TIME in partnership with global data intelligence firm Statista, highlighted Megaworld’s contributions to nation-building, innovation and its standing as one of the region’s notable employers.
For Megaworld president and CEO Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, the back-to-back citation reinforces the company’s long-term vision of shaping communities while delivering broader social impact.
“We will continue to work harder to build more communities that create ripples of progress to every locality where we are present,” Gutierrez-Alfonso said.
The latest honor adds to a growing stack of workplace recognitions earned by Megaworld over the past year. The company previously emerged as the only Philippine real estate developer included in the inaugural Fortune Asia 100 Best Companies to Work For in Southeast Asia—one of only six Philippine firms to make the cut.
Megaworld also secured a Great Place to Work certification, posting a 98-percent employee approval rating, the highest among major real estate developers in the country. Meanwhile, it made a dramatic leap in Statista’s Philippines’ Best Employers 2026 list, climbing to 42nd place from 240th previously and topping the ranking among local real estate firms.
The momentum extended to its parent firm, Alliance Global Group Inc., which likewise improved its standing in TIME’s Asia-Pacific ranking, moving to No. 227 from No. 245 last year—suggesting that strong workplace and performance metrics are reverberating across the conglomerate’s portfolio.
