BIZ BUZZ: Moneymax, CCAP push credit literacy drive

Ian Nicolas P. Cigaral

Moneymax, the personal finance platform under MoneyHero Group, is teaming up with the Credit Card Association of the Philippines (CCAP) to launch a nationwide drive aimed at pulling more Filipinos into the formal credit system.

Called “The Confidence Movement: Credit Literacy for Every Juan,” the campaign seeks to demystify credit and promote responsible borrowing at a time when digital finance is booming, but financial mobility remains stubbornly limited.

The initiative takes aim at a stark reality: about 95 percent of Filipinos remain “credit invisible” based on data from TransUnion, or lacking the credit histories needed to access bank loans and other mainstream financial products. In the absence of formal options, many consumers turn to high-interest loans to meet short-term cash needs.

Through guides, interactive digital content and webinars, the campaign aims to position credit not as a source of anxiety, but as a lever for long-term economic mobility.
