Cebu Pacific honors Cebuano roots

Press Release

Gokongwei-led Cebu Pacific is celebrating its roots with the release of the Bisaya version of its 30th anniversary original soundtrack, “Where Dreams Fly,” performed by OPM band Oh! Caraga.

“Oh! Caraga brings an anthemic feel to ‘Where Dreams Fly’, giving our 30th anniversary OST a new energy that transcends language,” said Michelle de Guzman, CEB marketing director.

“The dreams of our passengers, both in the Philippines and beyond, have always been at the heart of Cebu Pacific’s story. Through this Bisaya version, we hope more travelers connect with the song in a language that feels close to home,” De Guzman added.

The music video pays tribute to Cebu, where the airline’s story began, and to the dreams, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of the Cebuanos that continue to inspire generations of Filipinos.

It features familiar symbols from CEB’s special 30th anniversary Airbus A321neo aircraft, the Dreamer Plane, including “puso” (hanging rice), mangoes, guitars and stars, alongside the Dreamer Girl.

Cebu-based artist Happy Garaje, who designed the 30th anniversary special livery, also makes a cameo.

Meanwhile, the boy riding a bicycle in the music video pays tribute to the airline’s founder, John Gokongwei Jr., linking his story to the aspirations of generations of dreamers.

CEB’s journey traces back to Gokongwei’s home province of Cebu, where he started dreaming of a better future riding his bicycle through local neighborhoods to sell goods.

In March 1996, Gokongwei carried this dreamer spirit into the skies as CEB launched its maiden Manila-Cebu flight, making air travel even more accessible to every Filipino.

Since then, the airline has flown over 250 million passengers, connecting families, opening doors to new opportunities, and bringing Filipinos closer to the people and places that matter to them.

As a center for trade, tourism, craftsmanship and artistry, Cebu also demonstrates how connectivity can support the Philippines.

Through its Cebu hub, which serves the most domestic destinations with 24 local routes and 9 international routes, CEB makes it easier for travelers to fly to and from Cebu.

More than a celebration of three decades in aviation, the release honors Cebu and the people whose stories reflect the possibilities that greater connectivity can bring.

The Bisaya version of Where Dreams Fly, performed by Oh! Caraga, is available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Facebook and TikTok.
