DigiPlus doubles profit, sets Brazil debut by Q4

DigiPlus Interactive Corp. is on track to expand its overseas operations after incorporating its international hub, with its Brazil business ready to begin by the fourth quarter.
In a stock exchange filing on Wednesday, the company led by tycoon Eusebio Tanco said DigiPlus Global Pte. Ltd. would “set the stage for broader growth opportunities.”
“DigiPlus aims to bring the success it has established in the Philippines to participate in the thriving digital entertainment and electronic gaming industry globally,” said Tanco, chair of DigiPlus.
This comes as DigiPlus more than doubled its profit in the first three months of the year to P4.2 billion.
Its revenues likewise surged by 69 percent to P23.06 billion, on the back of higher gains from BingoPlus, ArenaPlus and GameZone.
“Our performance in the first quarter shows that we are building not just for scale, but for long-term value creation,” Tanco said.
