DoubleDragon’s Hotel101 Madrid to open March 2026
DoubleDragon Corp. is set to open in March 2026 its first overseas Hotel101 property in Madrid, Spain, marking a milestone in the global rollout of its homegrown hotel brand and underscoring the company’s outlook as it enters its next growth phase.
Speaking at DoubleDragon’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Friday, chair Edgar “Injap” Sia II announced that shareholders will soon be able to experience the company’s hospitality brand abroad, calling the Madrid opening a historic moment for the group.
“By the way, this coming March 2026, you can now start to check in and stay at the 680-room Hotel101 in Madrid, Spain,” Sia said. “We invite you to experience for the first time ever in our history, for a Filipino to stay in a truly homegrown Filipino hotel brand in a foreign land.”
The Madrid project formally marks the start of Hotel101’s international expansion, which DoubleDragon describes as an asset-light and exportable business model designed to scale across multiple jurisdictions.
Sia said the opening represents just the beginning of the journey of a Filipino brand and novel asset-light business model to spread around the world.
Hotel101 Global is a key pillar of DoubleDragon’s long-term strategy and forms part of its 10-year grand vision for 2025 to 2035.
Under this roadmap, DoubleDragon aims for Hotel101 to establish a footprint in 100 countries worldwide by 2035, contributing to recurring dollar-denominated revenues and elevating the global profile of Filipino hospitality brands.
The company said Hotel101 Global was currently ramping up its international development pipeline, with a near-term target of expanding into 25 countries within the next three years.
