Local online retailers can now ship their products to the United States and Europe via FedEx Philippines, which is seen to support the ever-growing e-commerce sector in the country.

In a statement on Friday, the global logistics company announced that it had launched in the Philippines its FedEx International Connect Plus service, which is also available in China, Hong Kong and Japan.

“E-commerce is reshaping global trade and FedEx International Connect Plus enables local SMEs (small and medium enterprises) to expand their reach with higher efficiency,” said Maribeth Espinosa, managing director of FedEx Philippines.

This service enables home delivery of purchased items by the customers overseas. In addition, it also allows customers to pick up their package from hundreds of sites if they wish to get it themselves.

FedEx noted they are equipped with parcel tracking capability that can give both the merchants and customers visibility throughout the delivery journey.

The service guarantees that shipments will arrive to the customers between two to three business days from the Philippines to the United States and Europe.

“This service reinforces our commitment to delivering innovative, cost-effective shipping solutions that help Philippine businesses grow and compete in international markets while delivering an enhanced experience to their customers,” Espinosa added.

In 2024, FedEx announced that it had partnered with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development — operator and manager of Clark International Airport — to upgrade its facility in the Pampanga gateway.
