FILRT brings in global tenant Gatestone

Emmanuel John Abris

Filinvest REIT Corp., (FILRT), the real estate investment trust arm of Filinvest Land Inc., said it had expanded its roster of international tenants after global customer experience and digital transformation firm Gatestone & Co. leased nearly 3,500 square meters (sq m) of office space in Northgate Cyberzone, Alabang.

The lease covers the sixth and seventh floors of Filinvest Three, one of the 17 Grade A office buildings under FILRT’s portfolio.

Operations started on Jan. 1, marking Gatestone’s expansion in the Philippines as part of its broader global growth strategy.

Gatestone provides customer experience and digital transformation solutions to clients across North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

FILRT said the expansion reinforced the Philippines’ position as a global hub for multilingual customer experience services while highlighting demand for sustainable office spaces from multinational occupiers.

Gatestone joins a growing list of international tenants within FILRT’s portfolio, including companies in the information technology, shared services, financial services and business process outsourcing sectors.

“The continued expansion of these international locators highlights FILRT’s reputation as a trusted partner for companies scaling across borders,” the company said.

Maricel Brion-Lirio, president and CEO of FILRT, said the company remained focused on providing “globally competitive, sustainable and future-ready workspaces” that meet international standards.

For Gatestone, the move to Northgate Cyberzone was driven by the location’s infrastructure and talent pool.

“The strategic location, strong infrastructure and skilled talent pool align with our operational standards and enable us to deliver world-class service to our customers worldwide,” Gatestone president John Tilley said.

FILRT said Filinvest Three is PEZA-accredited and EDGE-certified, supporting the company’s push to attract multinational firms looking for environmentally sustainable office developments.

The building forms part of Northgate Cyberzone, an information technology park in Filinvest City equipped with fiber-optic connectivity, transport access and business support infrastructure designed for global enterprises.

FILRT, the country’s first sustainability-themed real estate investment trust backed by Filinvest Land, Inc., currently has 17 Grade A office buildings with over 300,000 sq m of gross leasable area. Most of these properties are located within Northgate Cyberzone in Alabang.

The company said its expanding international tenant base and portfolio of certified green buildings continued to strengthen its position as a platform for “environmentally responsible, high-performance office buildings” in the Philippines.
