GCash now offers food delivery

GCash users can now order food for delivery, pickup or dine-in via the super app after it teamed up with Singaporean tech company Tablevibe, which has a network of over 4,000 restaurants in the country.

The popular e-wallet brand has recently made its Food Hub feature available for users, allowing them to directly place orders to restaurants and avail exclusive deals and promos.

Among the brands in the platform are Pickup Coffee, The Bistro Group, Kenny Rogers, Andok’s, 24 Chicken, The Moment Group and Chooks-To-Go.

In addition, GCash has also launched its scan-to-order feature, which is a dine-in ordering solution based on QR (quick response) code. Diners will be able to browse menus, place orders and settle their bill by scanning the QR codes.

This feature reduces wait times and streamlines the operations for restaurants.

“By connecting restaurants with our extensive user base, we’re helping businesses grow sustainably while enhancing convenience for our customers,” said Oscar Reyes Jr., president and CEO of GCash operator G-Xchange.

“This partnership with GCash creates a direct link between our restaurant partners and millions of users, simplifying the food ordering journey and opening new sales opportunities,” Tablevibe CEO Jeroen Rutten said.

Mathieu Sneep, cofounder and chief business officer of Tablevibe, said this solution would “help restaurants grow sales cost-effectively while enhancing efficiency and customer experiences.”
