Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill reservations pouring in
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines has not even rolled out the red carpet for guests and yet reservations have been coming in thick and fast.
Newport World Resorts chair Kevin Tan told Biz Buzz that they have received more than 3,000 reservations as of last Friday, just three days after opening for reservations.
In fact, the calendar for September and October is almost full with some already booking spots for December.
Excitement is clearly building up for Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill that will be one of the biggest restaurants at Newport World Resorts.
“We are grateful for the response and excited for the opening on Aug. 31,” says Tan.
The warm response can also be attributed to Filipinos’ affection for the renowned chef.
As Tan noted, the Philippines has the second largest following and engagement on social media for Gordon Ramsay, next to the United States.
This is expected to translate to a healthy patronage for Gordon Ramsay Bar and Grill Philippines at Newport World Resorts.
It will be the inaugural offering by the world-famous restaurateur in the Philippines following other restaurant concepts in major cities across the globe.
The 400-square-meter restaurant is on the second floor of the Newport Grand Wing and can seat up to a hundred guests.
Its full offering is yet to be revealed, but Ramsay’s iconic Beef Wellington and other British classics will be among the stars of the menu.
Tan said earlier that he and Chef Ramsay, whom he met at The Londoner in Macao recently, have a shared enthusiasm for the opening of the awaited restaurant.
He said Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines “strengthens our position as the most multifaceted integrated resort in the country, leading the way in elevated dining experiences for all our guests.” —Tina Arceo-Dumlao
Say hello to Aboitiz Foods
Listed conglomerate Aboitiz Group unveiled its new corporate brand Aboitiz Foods, integrating food and agribusiness units Pilmico and Gold Coin Management Holdings Inc., as it moves to strengthen its presence in Asia.
“This strategic move leverages the combined strengths of these industry leaders to create an integrated agribusiness and food ecosystem dedicated to nourishing Asia’s future across the entire value chain,” the entity said in a statement on Wednesday.
Aboitiz Foods said the combined expertise in trading, feed, specialty nutrition, and food production has made them “strategically positioned to become a dominant force in the region.”
Aboitiz Foods represents the food business Pilmico, a flour and feed manufacturer and meat producer and Gold Coin Management Holdings Inc., a pioneer in animal nutrition and the manufacturing of scientifically balanced animal feed in Asia.
“This significant milestone represents a new chapter in our journey to sustainably feed Asia’s growth from mill to meal,” Aboitiz Foods president and CEO Tristan Aboitiz said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Building on the 100-year legacy of the Aboitiz Group, we are committed to optimizing all our processes and businesses, constantly improving as we integrate the value chain across Asia, for a more sustainable and food-secure future,” he added.
This strategic integration, according to Aboitiz Foods, translates into tangible benefits for its customers that would ensure a consistent and dependable supply of high-quality agricultural and nutritional products.
Pilmico and Gold Coin assured its customers that the transition would be seamless as it wouldn’t disrupt existing business operations and relationships.
