Healthway opens flagship center in Makati
Ayala-led healthcare platform AC Health is strengthening its outpatient network with the opening of Healthway Medical Network’s flagship multispecialty center in one of Makati City’s busiest transport corridors.
Healthway One Ayala opened on Monday, marking another milestone for Healthway as it celebrates its 28th anniversary this year.
The facility at One Ayala is among Healthway’s largest outpatient centers, occupying around 1,300 square meters of space and designed to cater to commuters, office workers and residents in the central business district.
The center houses 14 consultation rooms, an ambulatory surgery center for outpatient procedures, an endoscopy unit, a 12-chair dialysis center and a dedicated women’s center equipped with mammography services.
Healthway One Ayala also brings together more than 100 on-site physicians while providing patients access to AC Health’s wider network of around 2,800 doctors nationwide.
The center will likewise serve as a referral gateway to specialized services across the network, including the Healthway cancer care hospital at Arca South.
For Healthway chief operating officer Edwin Magsino, the launch forms part of a broader expansion strategy aimed at bringing primary and specialized care closer to communities.
The network is targeting 20 multispecialty clinics by 2027 as it continues to scale its nationwide presence.
“The goal is to reach 20 multi-specialty clinics by 2027. After One Ayala, we will be opening Healthway Lima, and [at] McKinley BGC,” said Magsino.
The Makati facility also features a colocation arrangement with St. Joseph Drug powered by SUGI, allowing Healthway patients to immediately fill prescriptions through a dedicated service lane.
St. Joseph Drug chief operating officer Luis Yanga said the setup aimed to make pharmacy services an integrated part of the patient care journey by combining retail pharmacy convenience with AC Health’s healthcare ecosystem.
Founded in 1998, Healthway has evolved from a standalone clinic into one of the country’s larger healthcare networks.
The group now operates seven hospitals, 18 multispecialty centers and more than 350 corporate clinics nationwide.
Established in 2015, the AC Health healthcare platform also includes Generika Drugstore, MedEthix and St. Joseph Drug.
