Megaworld adds tower to Palawan township
Megaworld Corp. is expanding its township portfolio in Palawan, as it unveiled a new wellness-focused residential development. The project is located in its 462-hectare ecotourism community, Paragua Coastown, in San Vicente.
In a disclosure statement on Monday, the Andrew Tan-led property giant introduced Santé Residences Palawan. It is a 14-story condominium project envisioned to be the first WELL-registered residential property in the Philippines.
The development is designed to follow the WELL residential certification standards.
These are internationally recognized benchmarks for projects that prioritize health and wellness across 10 concepts. They include air quality, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind and community.
Javier Romeo Abustan, head of sales and marketing for Megaworld Palawan, said the company aims to pioneer a new residential concept that integrates nature and wellness science into everyday living.
“Being the first to pursue WELL residential certification in the country, our vision is to offer a home for the future residents of Santé Residences Palawan, nestled in the world’s best island within an environment that nourishes the mind and body,” Abustan said.
Santé Residences Palawan is designed to feature angled balcony pods designed to provide both coastal and mountain views for all units. These enable residents to appreciate Palawan’s natural landscape.
Wellness-oriented
The second-level amenity deck will include wellness-oriented facilities, such as a fitness hub called the verve studio, a halotherapy center, a quiet lounge, a hydrokinetics pool for hydrotherapy. There is also a Santé botanique garden, which will offer fresh produce for healthy living.
Other amenities include coworking spaces, day care, pools, function rooms and outdoor recreation areas with Wi-Fi access throughout.
Santé Residences Palawan is expected to generate around P6.5 billion in sales and is scheduled for completion by 2031.
The project will offer 460 units ranging from studio to three-bedroom bi-level layouts. All of these have balconies that offer panoramic views of Pagdanan Bay and nearby forests.
Megaworld said units will be equipped with wireless smart home systems accessible via a phone app. These, alongside sustainability features such as rainwater harvesting, energy-efficient equipment, EV-ready parking slots and a materials recovery facility.
The development comes as Megaworld builds up Paragua Coastown with hotels and hospitality projects. It positions San Vicente—home to the 15-kilometer Long Beach—as Palawan’s next major tourist destination.
