Mitsubishi opens new dealership in Bulacan
The Philippine unit of automotive giant Mitsubishi and its local partner have opened a new dealership in Bulacan, with a second one slated to follow in the next two years.
In a statement on Friday, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) said that it, along with dealer partner SJ Legacy Motors Inc. inaugurated their new branch at the SM City San Jose Del Monte last Sept. 27.
“Conveniently located on the lower ground floor of this [mall]…this outlet aims to provide customers with easy access to Mitsubishi vehicles while enjoying the convenience of a shopping mall environment,” the company said in a statement.
Aside from this outlet, both firms also held a groundbreaking for a sales, service, and spare parts facility in San Jose del Monte on the same day.
This planned facility which is targeted for completion by January 2026 will feature over 5,000 sqm of floor area when finished, according to the MMPC.
It will also feature a modern four-unit showroom display and seven service bays, providing customers with a comprehensive vehicle sales, spare parts and service experience, according to the company.
The MMPC also touted that the three-floor building with a mezzanine will bring “world-class” Mitsubishi products and services to service what the company called a “rapidly expanding population” of San Jose Del Monte and neighboring communities.
According to the latest report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), the MMPC held a 19.18 percent market share in the Philippines from January to September, second to Toyota’s 46.21 percent.
This translates to the automotive company selling 66,028 vehicle units during the nine-month period.
