PAL to fly daily from Clark to Siargao, Basco

Philippine Airlines (PAL) on Thursday said it would start operating daily flights from Clark to Siargao and Basco by May 1, giving passengers more options when flying to the tourist destinations especially in the upcoming summer months.
This would be an increase from the current thrice weekly flights for Clark-Siargo route and four times a week for Clark-Basco route.
“Looking forward to the peak summer season, we are eager to invite more travelers to embark on unforgettable leisure and cultural adventures in Basco and Siargao by flying any day of the week on our direct flights from Clark International Airport,” PAL Express president Rabbi Vincent Ang said.
In addition, the flag carrier began its daily services between Clark and Busuanga on Mar. 1.
This week, the Lucio Tan-led airline also launched the first ever direct flights linking Cebu to Catarman, the capital of Northern Samar.
Earlier, PAL said it would mount direct flights from Cebu to Ho Chi Minh by May 2, citing the growing interest in this popular Asian travel destination.
Along with this, the airline will increase its Manila-Hanoi flights to daily service from the current five times weekly by April 1.
The carrier has been beefing up its network amid the projected growth in air travel this year.
Last January, PAL announced it would resume flights from Manila to Beijing by March 30. Its other routes to China are Shanghai, Xiamen and Quanzhou.
The airline also restarted its Cebu-Osaka direct flights in December as more Filipinos travel to Japan. PAL also facilitates routes from Cebu to Narita and from Manila to Nagoya, Narita, Haneda and Fukuoka.
