Pardo, Monzon secure fresh PSE leadership mandate for 2025-2026
The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) shareholders reelected the company’s board of directors, led by chair Jose Pardo and president Ramon Monzon, at the annual stockholders’ meeting held on Saturday.
The 15-member PSE board consists of one president-director, not more than five broker directors, at least five independent directors and at least four directors representing the interests of issuers, investors and other market participants.
“The fresh mandate given to the PSE Board will ensure continuity in the reforms and initiatives we have started pursuing to attract more listings and introduce new products and services that will enhance liquidity in the capital market,” Pardo said.
Same slate
“The board will remain steadfast in providing guidance and oversight in establishing clear policies and direction for the exchange, including the integration of the PSE and the Philippine Dealing System Holdings Corp., which offers significant opportunities for the development of the local capital market,” Pardo added.
Apart from Pardo, retired Chief Justice Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, Peter Favila, Andrew Jerome Gan and Vicente Panlilio have been given a new term to serve as independent directors.
Likewise, reelected as broker directors were Diosdado Arroyo, Eddie Gobing, Anthony Te, Wilson Sy and Ma. Vivian Yuchengco.
Meanwhile, re-elected as sectoral directors were Atty. Marilyn Victorio-Aquino (representing issuers), Ferdinand Constantino and Jose Arnulfo A. Veloso (representing investors) and Edgardo Lacson (representing other market participants).
The members of the board of directors are elected for a one-year term.
