PhilWeb accredited as gaming tech provider

Emmanuel John Abris

PhilWeb Corp. has secured accreditation from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor), allowing it to provide services within the country’s regulated gaming ecosystem.

The gaming technology provider told the exchange on Monday the accreditation covers gaming affiliates and support service providers, enabling the company to deliver technology and operational services to licensed gaming operators.

The company said the approval affirmed its capabilities in platform technology, system integration and operational support, as it strengthened its position in the regulated gaming space.

PhilWeb president Brian Ng said the industry was entering a “pivotal stage” as it transitions toward a more structured and transparent framework.

“We are committed to supporting this transition by delivering reliable and scalable technology solutions, while actively engaging with stakeholders to help strengthen the overall ecosystem,” Ng said.

Looking ahead, PhilWeb is positioning itself as an asset-light business-to-business technology and infrastructure platform, focusing on system integration, platform management and operational services for licensed operators.

The company said this model would drive more recurring and scalable revenue streams over time as the industry continues to evolve.

PhilWeb is also actively participating in industry technical working discussions alongside regulators and stakeholders, contributing to efforts aimed at enhancing transparency, consumer protection and overall governance in the sector.

These engagements, the company said, aligned with broader initiatives to formalize and modernize the local gaming industry.
