Phinma property arm gets P300-M capital for Bacolod project

The Phinma group is building up the capital base of its property development arm to increase the group’s firepower in pursuit of a P12-billion inaugural township in Bacolod, the most populous city on Negros Island.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Monday, Phinma Corp. said it had injected P300 million into Phinma Property Holdings Corp. (PPHC).
The amount will be “fully allocated” to the Saludad project in Bacolod, the first venture of Phinma Properties outside Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao.
“This new P300-million investment will allow Phinma Properties to sustain the favorable market momentum for our Saludad project in Bacolod. This signifies the Phinma Group’s stronger commitment to the Bacolod community and nearby areas by promoting economic development and creating new livelihood opportunities,” said Phinma chair and CEO Ramon del Rosario, Jr.
Saludad makes use of the group’s services, including Phinma Hospitality’s lifestyle brand TRYP by Wyndham Bacolod, the township’s anchor tenant, whose construction is expected to begin soon.
It will also host the first campus of Phinma Education’s Southwestern University outside Cebu City, alongside the operations of Phinma Construction Materials Group.
“We’re creating a lively, sustainable community for our beloved Bacolodnons where they can easily access essentials to dignified lives. Saludad combines the best offerings of the Phinma Group with the city’s rich heritage and beautiful sceneries, amid its fast-growing economy—this marriage of tradition and modernity makes it distinctly Bacolod,” said Phinma Properties president and CEO Raphael Felix.
The development will also include a business hub featuring commercial, retail spaces and residential areas.
PPHC, together with its subsidiaries, develops affordable medium-rise condominium units and socialized housing units. The parent company is primarily engaged in low-cost and middle-cost housing and vertical development.
Saludad township is a partnership with JEPP Real Estate Co.
As the latter has existing interests in Bacolod, the venture expanded PPHC’s footprint in the Visayan region.
“With the township’s construction in full swing, the southern phase 1 will be completed by the first quarter of 2026 and the northern Phase 2 will be finished in 2028.
“Phinma Properties looks forward to sharing more of Saludad to people within and beyond Bacolod,” Phinma Properties vice president and chief township officer Paolo Reyes said.
