On Monday, the Pangilinan-led telco giant announced PLDT Enterprise had signed a memorandum of understanding with the global technology company to provide 5G private wireless network solutions to local businesses.

The parties are targeting several industries like mining, port and manufacturing, all of which can benefit from using 5G.

“Our collaboration with Nokia is a testament to this dedication by potentially offering 5G private wireless network solutions to Filipino business, enabling them to experience ultra-reliable low latency communication, faster data speeds, and the ability to connect a massive number of devices simultaneously,” PLDT senior vice president and head of enterprise business group Jojo Gendrano said.
