The 2024 real estate awards season proves golden for Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) and its subsidiaries, bagging the Best Developer honor, among other accolades, from two prestigious award-giving bodies, all in the same month.

Three-peat victory

“[Winning] affirms all the hard work, passion and commitment we have in our vision,” said Jericho P. Go, senior vice president and general manager of Robinsons Offices, referring to Robinsons Land’s three-peat victory as Best Developer (Philippines) at the PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards held earlier this month.

“We’ve always spoken about this: Our values in Gokongwei group, entrepreneurial mindset, integrity and stewardship,” Go said.

“We’re very proud to win it three years in a row. There is…intense pressure to deliver it for a fourth time,” added John Richard B. Sotelo, senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Robinsons Land.

“The team has been working so hard… trying to find that unique difference, that design change, the experience upgrade, and the customers, to try to give us a little bit of an edge (in the market), that’s what’s important,” Sotelo said.

Prestigious recognitions

Fresh from that triumph, Robinsons Land was once more named as Best Developer, this time at the Dot Property Philippines Awards held on Sept. 12.

In this gathering, which saw over 30 awards announced, Robinsons bagged several more awards: Best Luxury Condominium Development for Mantawi Residences; Best Smart Home Condominium Development for SYNC; and Best Sustainable Development for Le Pont Residences. Finally, Robinsons Land was conferred the Special Recognition Award for Innovation.

Champion of change, innovation

The winners at the nationals garnered the right to compete for the “Best in Asia” recognition at the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final, scheduled on Dec. 13 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Likewise, for the Dot Property Philippines Awards, the developer and its projects will move on to the bigger stage, particularly the Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards, to be held also in December in Bangkok.

“For me, [the award] means that we uniquely meet, and deliver on an unmet need of a customer in a way no one else does,” Sotelo said. “People will call it X factor. But I always say that, if you know your customer deeply enough, it will reach a point where, when you mention a need, they’ll be like, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t even realize that.’ And that’s what I think is when we get to be the best so far. It seems to be working for us.”

“You need to be the champion of change, champion of innovation, sustainability, so we have to lead by example… We have to constantly improve ourselves,” said Go. “For our fellow Filipinos and the rest of the world, we want to tell everyone that the Philippines is open for business, and you want [RLC] to lead the way.”
