RLC’s Work.able coming to provinces soon

Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) will soon introduce its flexible working space in other regions in the Philippines as demand for “work near home” facilities steadily rises across the country.
Jericho Go, RLC business unit general manager, told reporters on Monday they planned to open three more Work.able offices in Metro Manila this year.
And yet, its plug-and-play nature was also becoming attractive to companies in the provinces, according to Go.
“Companies are looking at a soft landing, meaning they don’t want to spend too much capital on a particular office space,” Go said during a press conference.
Work.able on Monday opened a new branch in RLC’s GBF Center 1 at the Bridgetowne estate, Quezon City. This is its 14th branch in Metro Manila.
Go noted there was an opportunity to establish more facilities within RLC’s office buildings in other locations outside the capital region, including Cebu, Bacolod and Davao.
He clarified, however, that they would still need to conduct feasibility tests to study the demand in its provincial locations.
“Even if there’s demand, then we still have to go through due diligence and make sure that we don’t build where it’s not needed,” he noted.
Work.able currently offers various plans depending on the need of their clients, including a build-to-suit private office suite There are also virtual offices for companies without physical offices but need an address, private offices, hot desks and dedicated desks.
Real estate broker Colliers Philippines found in an earlier survey that 33 percent of property stakeholders wanted their offices to become collaborative spaces.
