Robinsons Land buys Victoria Plaza complex in Davao
Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC) is acquiring a 9-hectare property in Davao City as it ramps up expansion in key growth areas outside Metro Manila.
In a statement, the Gokongwei-led property developer said the site covers the Victoria Plaza complex along JP Laurel Avenue, a prime corridor in the city.
RLC plans to develop the estate into a mixed-use destination, with components spanning office, retail, residential, hotel and other complementary commercial projects.
A key feature of the development is Cybergate Victoria, a multi-storey office building scheduled for completion in the first half of 2027.
The acquisition will allow RLC to pursue phased, large-scale development, positioning the company to unlock long-term value from the property.
The company said securing both scale and location in a high-growth market like Davao strengthens its ability to capture sustained demand from tenants and investors.
This move is also expected to help diversify RLC’s recurring income streams, particularly as it builds up its portfolio of destination estates beyond the capital region.
“The transaction reflects RLC’s disciplined capital allocation strategy and underscores its confidence in Davao’s continued economic expansion and rising investor and tenant demand,” the company said.
RLC likewise expressed confidence in Davao’s economic trajectory, citing rising investor interest and tenant demand in the province.
The expansion underscores RLC’s broader push to deepen its presence in Mindanao, as it seeks to balance growth between Metro Manila and emerging provincial hubs.
