Rosy Q1 results prime Haus Talk for new projects
Gains from a new housing project buoyed last year’s earnings for Haus Talk Inc., by 76 percent to P242.6 million, as it pitches in to help close the country’s housing gap.
The Madlambayan family-led firm on Tuesday said revenues also soared by 58 percent to P1 billion, owing to The Granary, its newest housing development in Biñan, Laguna province.“With the numbers exhibiting positive returns not only for [Haus Talk] and especially our stakeholders, we are even more confident now to launch projects in other locations where housing is needed by the market,” said Francis Madlambayan, Haus Talk head of corporate planning and investor relations.
Haus Talk launched the 10-hectare (ha) housing complex in 2023, selling over 200 units.
Prices start at P2.5 million per unit, and include access to amenities such as a clubhouse, chapel and sports facilities.
Haus Talk also said it stood to benefit from incentives granted by the Board of Investments, including an income tax holiday for the second phase of The Granary development.
“These incentives, catering to expanding developers of economic housing projects, encompass three years of 25-percent income tax savings and 12 years of duty exemption on capital equipment importation,” the company said. They added that the exemptions would help boost its capacity for further investment and growth.
Haus Talk recently broke ground for two residential projects in Antipolo City, Rizal province, covering at least 1.6 ha. INQ
