SM Prime expects strong demand for Premier Suites

Emmanuel John Abris

SM Prime Holdings Inc. is seeing strong corporate demand for its Premier Suites as companies increasingly use entertainment venues to host clients, partners and employees.

The Sy-led property giant said demand for its Premier Suites has been strong within a month of their July 9 trade launch.

This builds on the performance of similar suites at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Offered exclusively to brands and corporations, the 40-square-meter suites require a minimum one-year lease and can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Each suite comes with lounge and theater-style seating, a private restroom, dedicated VIP access, high-speed Wi-Fi and prime views of live events.

Companies may also customize the space with branded furnishings and installations.

At the SM Seaside Cebu Arena, suite holders also have exclusive access to six multipurpose function rooms for meetings, corporate events and other business engagements.

SM Prime president Jeffrey Lim said premium suites have become popular at major sports and entertainment venues globally as they offer businesses another way to engage with their stakeholders.

“They also give businesses a more engaging way to connect with clients, partners and employees,” Lim said.

SM Prime introduced the premium suite concept at the SM Mall of Asia Arena when it opened in 2012. The company said this marked the first corporate hospitality offering of its kind in Southeast Asia.

The company has since expanded services for suite holders, including advance event advisories, direct office ticket delivery, dedicated suite attendants and customized menus from Premiere Cafe and accredited caterers.

Current suite holders include Aboitiz Group, ABS-CBN, Cignal TV, Citicore Renewable Energy, Coca-Cola, Globe Telecom, Meralco, among others.
