The Manila International Autoshow is the country’s premier motoring expo that allows the buying public to get up close and personal with cars. It’s a hybrid event in that it isn’t a pure trade show but it also has interactive activities like test drives and even selling activities.

But the organizers of MIAS also have a soft spot for enthusiasts which is why the aftermarket has come in full support of the show, launching their own new products. Let’s take a look at some of the brands and what we can expect from them.

Perhaps the most hotly-anticipated display will be from the Ravenol lubricants booth. Ravenol, a renowned German brand or high-performance lubricants and a technical partner to the Aston-Martin F1 team, will showcase their latest line of lubricants, plus the piece de resistance of their display in the form of two silver icons: a BMW 3.0 CSL and a PGC10 Hakosuka Nissan Skyline. If you follow Autoplus Sport’s social media channels and paid attention to the build of this Skyline, you know it’s an immaculate build.

Another eagerly awaited booth will be the Black Rhino and Method Race Wheels display where the latest line of wheels will take the spotlight. Method will showcase the latest bead-lock and bear-grip wheels that allow for super low inflation pressures to help traction & recovery. Aside from the wheels, Nitto off-road and performance tires will also be showcased. Incidentally, Nitto will be the official tire of the Guinness Book of World Records stunt driver Russ Swift’s stunt-show. MIAS won’t be MIAS without Russ and his antics, right?

Black Rhino Off-road Wheels will also showcase winners of the 2023 Hot Wheels Legends tour and support a toy drive for the benefit of Bahay Aruga and Epcalm Leukemia Foundation.

The Toy Drive is a project of Hotwheels Philippines for the benefit of EPCALM and Bahay Aruga Pasig Youth Home. Donate a toy, receive a raffle stub and get a chance to win cash and cool prizes! No toy to donate? You can still buy one from the EPCALM booth and all proceeds go to the beneficiaries!

This year SONAX, a household name for car care products will highlight both the DIY / Consumer line and the Professional Detailing line, with emphasis on their CERAMIC SERIES: Ceramic Shampoo, Ceramic Spray, and Ceramic Ultra Slick Detailer. Its everything you’ll need to keep your car’s interior and exterior in tip-top shape. To showcase their products, two iconic vehicles will be on their display, a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 and a 1969 Chevrolet C/K Pick-Up truck.

Live events are a big thing now so Vinyl Frog will be present to do a live wrapping session of what Vinyl Frog’s head, Justin Uy says, is a classic about to be given a major make-over!

JBL and PIAA will be sharing space to showcase the newest 5-door Jimny which was just launched a few months ago. Built together with Overland Kings and Tim’s Garage, the Jimny exemplifies the ever popular overlanding and camping trend, decked out in the latest gear from PIAA such as their LPW530 LED lights and PIAA Oto Bass Horn.

A major breakthrough is the first official participation of the MOMO brand at the Manila International Autoshow. A long respected name in motorsports and car enthusiasts, MOMO Philippines will be showcasing iconic steering wheel favorites like the Monte Carlo, Prototipo, Indy Heritage, Tuner, and others. They will also display accessories such as seat covers, lumbar support, neck pillows and more.

Back to the major brands, and there is only one automotive manufacturer that really excites me at MIAS: Hyundai and its N sub-brand that builds and races high-performance variants of their cars. They are unveiling two N models, the all-electric Ioniq 5 N and the Elantra N. While Hyundai is initially bringing in only a handful of units to compete against the likes of the Subaru WRX, FL5 Honda Civic Type-R, I’m confident more will be made available to the Filipino.

Diecast Collectors of the Philippines (DCPH) has always supported MIAS and will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary. Of course there will be the Custom Car competition once again at MIAS so you’ll get to see project cars of like-minded enthusiasts on display.

There’s lots more for enthusiasts to see at MIAS 2024, so come check it out! There will be two simultaneous venues for MIAS 2024, one at the World Trade Center in Pasay, and another venue at the SMX Convention Center located at the SM Mall of Asia complex, also in Pasay City, less than 10 minutes away.

Exciting times ahead! See you all at #MIAS24 !!!
