In the world of music, few themes are as universally relatable as the emotional journey of letting go. This is precisely what 1st One’s new song, “Paalam Na,” is all about.

The recently released song, whose title translates to “goodbye now,” captures the poignant moments of farewells and the bittersweet process of moving on. The masterful blend of heartfelt lyrics that comes with the use of intense melody is what makes “Paalam Na” twice as poignant and painful. The song sets the tone and opens with strong beats that pull listeners into a rhythmic state.

Members of 1st One, who are also the songwriters behind “Paalam Na,” drew inspiration from personal experiences, as well as stories of loss and separation.

‘Emotional journey’

Producer and songwriter Ace says, “Whether it’s the end of a romantic relationship or the passing of a loved one, the song speaks to the core of these experiences. It’s about saying goodbye for the last time to someone you love.”

Max says, “The production of ‘Paalam Na’ is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the music industry. We worked with Lead Angeles, who’s a music producer in Canada.

“The lush arrangement, featuring very subtle electronic music but with touches of rhythmic Filipino indigenous elements, complements the raw emotion of the lyrics.”

“Paalam Na” has since garnered significant attention across various music platforms and social media. Jayson says, “I think listeners from all walks of life share very personal connections to the song. Lahat nakaka-relate.”

For Alpha, “Ultimately, ‘Paalam Na’ is an emotional journey that compels listeners to confront their own experiences with letting go.”

“Paalam Na” serves as a reminder that while farewells are painful, they are nevertheless an integral part of life that leads to growth, understanding and new beginnings.
