Concert pays tribute to ABBA on Aug. 24

There is no stopping the mania—ABBA mania, that is. Following their successful concert last year at Newport World Resorts, the world’s No.1 touring Abba tribute band returns to make everyone dance, jive and have the time of their lives. Recreate the magic of Swedish band ABBA in the one-night concert “Mania: The ABBA Tribute” on Aug. 24 at Newport Performing Arts Theater.

From “Dancing Queen” to “Mamma Mia,” the tribute group Mania performs Abba’s greatest hits with passion and precision, taking audiences back to the disco era of the 1970s.

Talented performers With a cast of talented performers, “Mania: The ABBA Tribute” formed in 1999 has been selling out theaters and concert halls internationally ever since. Mania has toured every continent in the world and has played over 3,000 live concerts in over 35 countries.

The original Abba was formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
