Kim Soo-hyun to star in crime drama ‘Knock-Off’

After shooting to international superstardom with his leading roles in “My Love from the Star,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay” and “Queen of Tears,” Kim Soo-hyun will star alongside Cho Bo-ah in “Knock-Off”—a showstopping series slated to stream on Disney+ later this year.

Dramatic, dangerous and crime-ridden, the show dives into the murky world of counterfeit goods, following a man whose life is ruined in the wake of the ’97 Asian financial crisis. Desperate to rebuild what he once had, Sung-jun finds himself drawn into the knock-off goods trade, quickly climbing to the top of the counterfeit market scene.

Starring Soo-hyun and Bo-ah (“Tale of the Nine Tailed”), “Knock-Off” is written by Han Jung-hoon (“Song of the Bandits”) and directed by Park Hyeon-seok (“Song of the Bandits,” “Stranger 2”).
