Eat ice cream
Each February, Sebastian’s Ice Cream releases a collection of special flavors to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The names are always the same but the flavors change, except for one: Unresolved Issues is always ampalaya sorbet. This year, Matinong Boyfriend is a white wine ice cream made with California white wine swirled together with a strawberry sorbet made from fresh strawberries from Benguet; Matinong Girlfriend is banana ice cream loaded with banana cake chunks, crispy banana chips, fresh banana slices, and a banana jam ripple; and Closure, which is always tea-based, is black tea infused fresh ginger and lemon and sweetened with honey. You can get them by the scoop or the pint. Sebastian’s Sorbetero Ian Carandang has also launched a limited ice cream cake flavor—Cookies n’ Creme Ice Cream Cake, which you can get whole or by the slice.
Visit Sebastian’s The Podium or order from sebastiansicecream.com.

Indulge in a 10-course meal
Chefs Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo and Sonny Mariano have created a special Valentine’s meal with the theme “Opposites Attract.” Why this theme? “Because in love, opposites attract!” said Santos-Agoncillo, laughing.
Dishes are called Delicate and Robust, Mild and Tangy, Hot and Cold, Fresh and Aged… a very different menu from Angrydobo’s previous family-style degustation, she said. “Diners are in for a fun and memorable dinner.”
It will be available at Angrydobo Westgate on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15. There are two seatings each night: 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
And how will the chef/actress be celebrating Valentine’s Day? “I’ll be in Angrydobo, serving love on a plate.”
