‘Balut’ chocolate and other fun Easter finds for the whole family

Easter is a wonderful time for some family bonding. Here are some great finds to add fun to your gathering.
Auro’s Balut Chocolate is back. This fun twist on the classic Filipino street food was a big hit last year. Inside the egg carton you’ll find four chocolate “balut” eggs. The egg shells are made of two layers of chocolate—32-percent white chocolate and 42-percent milk chocolate. Unwrap and crack each chocolate egg to find the surprise inside.

There’s also the Choco Chicken, an adorable chicken made of Auro’s award-winning 42-percent milk chocolate. Inside the chicken are surprises: three chocolate ducklings.

Auro also has Chocolate Easter Eggs—dark chocolate eggs with mini Auro Choco Chip Cookies, a double dose of chocolate.
Get the Choco Chicken and Chocolate Easter Eggs at Auro cafes. Auro Balut Chocolate is available at Auro cafes and from aurochocolate.com.
Easter treasures
Flying Tiger is a trove of Easter treasures—from headbands with bunny ears, plush hats that look like chicks, and fuzzy chick baskets for keeping your Easter eggs safe, to tableware, balloons, and other party supplies. Last year, I was even able to buy aluminum foil and little sealable bags printed with the cutest chicks.

Feel like getting crafty with the kids? There are stencils to make your Easter eggs extra pretty, Easter cross-stitch sets, beads in a bunny-shaped organizer, stickers, and other sets for creating Easter-themed art.
Find them at Flying Tiger stores.

Decorate Easter cookies
With Kiddie Crumbs, The Plaza Catering creates interactive food experiences for kids. For Easter, they’re offering a DIY kit of Easter cookies that you can decorate. Each set comes with three cookies, icing in three colors, and three kinds of sprinkles.
