Beyond the storefront
Shopping is no longer just about what you bring home. More and more, brands are finding new ways to make every visit feel worth the trip—whether through a multi-sensory fragrance launch, a celebration of culture and craftsmanship, or perks that make indulging a little more rewarding.
This time around, Gramiix, Uniqlo, and Nustar are giving shoppers more to discover beyond the usual retail experience.
Uniqlo marks 70 years of Philippines-Japan friendship
Uniqlo is celebrating 70 years of Philippines-Japan friendship with a series of exclusive in-store experiences, cultural collaborations, and a new community initiative that highlights the shared creativity and craftsmanship of both countries. The celebration, launched at the Uniqlo Manila Global Flagship Store in Glorietta 5, also comes ahead of the brand’s 15th anniversary in the Philippines next year.
Visitors can explore commemorative installations created with Salcedo Auctions—inspired by Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—through Japanese design principles, alongside limited-time collaborations available only during the anniversary celebration.

These include the Ube Kome Cloud drink at Uniqlo Coffee—a Filipino Japanese collaboration with Café Salcedo—as well as exclusive Re.Uniqlo artisan embroidery patches created with craftspeople from Abra, Iloilo, and South Cotabato. Made using fabric scraps from LifeWear garments, proceeds from every patch sold will support the participating artisan communities.
Beyond the in-store experiences, Uniqlo also introduced “Supporting Brighter Futures Through Education,” a year-long initiative in partnership with the ABS-CBN Foundation, Hope Foundation, and SM Foundation. Leading up to the brand’s 15th anniversary in 2027, the program will provide educational support, LifeWear donations, and volunteer initiatives for 15 schools across the country, with proceeds from select Airism innerwear helping fund the project.

Gramiix brings a multi-sensory take on fragrance to the Philippines
Fragrance has always had a unique way of bringing memories back to life. A familiar note can instantly transport you to a place, a person, or a fleeting moment you thought you’d forgotten. It’s this emotional connection that local fragrance house Gramiix is built around.
Following its soft launch earlier this year, the brand officially introduced itself through an immersive Manila experience that reimagined perfume as something to be seen, heard, tasted, and felt. Rather than presenting fragrance as simply another beauty product, Gramiix invited guests into a sensory exhibition where each scent was interpreted through floral installations, coffee, cocktails, desserts, music, and design.

The debut collection features five unisex Eau de Parfums—April 31st, Bare Nude, Persona, Mandarin Caramel, and Cocktail Hour—each inspired by a different emotion and memory. Together, the fragrances explore themes of nostalgia, intimacy, confidence, indulgence, and self-expression, reinforcing the brand’s belief that perfume can become a personal archive of life’s most meaningful moments.
Thoughtfully formulated with IFRA-certified fragrance oils and a high-concentration hydro-alcoholic base designed to last up to nine hours on skin and clothing, the collection is available in 30 mL (P750) and 100 mL (P1,595) bottles. With plans to expand into personal care and home fragrances, Gramiix marks the beginning of a homegrown fragrance brand that places storytelling and sensory experience at the heart of every bottle.
