Celebrating the ‘Quintosian’ Legacy

Avatar

Today, April 27, marks one year since the passing of Floy Quintos, playwright, director, cultural worker, mentor, and beloved figure in Philippine arts and culture.

To mark his first death anniversary, friends and associates are mounting “Shades of Floy: Celebrating the Quintosian Legacy” at the Hyundai Hall of Areté, Ateneo de Manila, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It will be an evening of gathering, storytelling, and remembrance in honor of a life dedicated to creativity, courage, and country.

Shades of Floy

Floy’s work left its mark not only on stage, but in the lives and hearts of countless artists, students, collaborators, and audiences. His plays—including his final work, “Grace,” which premiered after his passing—asked difficult questions. His stories held mirrors to our histories. His mentorship shaped generations.
