Ely Buendia and Childhope Philippines launch a “donate to view” charity film to help expand education and protection programs for children in street situations

Press Release

MANILA, December 15, 2025 — OPM icon Ely Buendia has partnered with Childhope Philippines this holiday season to release a special animated music video inspired by his song “Bulaklak sa Buwan”. The project which launched today was created to raise support for children in street situations across Manila. The film introduces a “Donate to View” format, allowing the public to unlock and watch the full video through a small contribution.

A preview screening was shared first with the children and partners of Childhope’s Musikalye celebration last November 29 which is a part of the Children’s Month celebration of Childhope Philippines, followed by another exclusive showing at Ayala Malls Manila Bay after Ely’s concert the same evening.

All proceeds from the video will directly support Childhope’s Street Education and Protection Program, including KalyEskwela, KliniKalye, and other essential child welfare services focused on education, healthcare, and psychosocial support.

Ely adds: “Songs can inspire, but it’s what we do with that inspiration that really matters. That’s why this project with Childhope means a lot to me. I’m glad we’re able to use Bulaklak sa Buwan into something that can inspire others to help children build safer, brighter futures. It’s an honor to lend my music to a cause that believes so strongly in them.”

Mylene Lagman, Deputy Executive Director of Childhope Philippines, said: “The children we work with face challenges no child should ever experience. Collaborations like this help open more doors for them to learn, heal, and the chance to dream again. We are deeply thankful to Ely and to everyone who chooses to support this cause.”
