Everyday dressing gets a few new updates
Clothes for work, sneakers worn on repeat, and activewear for regular workouts are the pieces we tend to shop for again and again. Oysho and JD Sports offer new places to browse these wardrobe staples in Metro Manila, while Bayo introduces a familiar face with a personal connection to the brand.
Oysho opens at Greenbelt 5
Oysho has opened on Level 2 of Greenbelt 5, giving Makati shoppers a new address for its sportswear, athleisure, and everyday essentials. The nearly 430-square-meter branch joins the brand’s existing store at SM Mall of Asia.
Part of the Inditex group, Oysho focuses on dressing for movement—with sportswear for exercise and athleisure for the hours around it. Its collections speak to the overlap between workout clothes and casual dressing, when comfort matters just as much for a class as it does for the errands afterward.

The new store brings those collections into a setting of natural oak, porcelain floors, and a handcrafted earth-block wall. New arrivals greet shoppers at the entrance, followed by the main collections, essentials, and accessories, all on one floor. Spacious, oak-paneled fitting rooms leave room to try pieces together and work out how they’ll fit into your own routine and wardrobe.
Bayo introduces Bella Racelis as its newest face
Before Bella Racelis became one of Bayo’s faces, she was a child visiting its stores with her mother—wearing Kids of Bayo. Her earliest connection to the Filipino label began with those shopping trips, years before she would appear in one of its campaigns.
Racelis recalled those visits at the Oct. 7 launch of Bayo’s Glorietta store, where she was introduced as part of “That’s Bayo.” Now a content creator and entrepreneur building a business and a home, she joins a brand she has known since childhood with a different set of experiences—and a wardrobe to dress for them.

Her story gives the campaign a personal starting point. “That’s Bayo” considers how clothes become attached to particular people and moments: a piece handed down by an older sister, a top worn to a first job interview, or an outfit that helped someone feel put-together on a difficult day. For a label that has dressed generations of women for more than 30 years, these small, individual memories are part of its history, too.

At the launch, the Glorietta store was reimagined as an office, with interactive displays and activities placing the collection in the context of a working day. It brought the focus back to the daily business of getting dressed, as women move between responsibilities, routines, and occasions.
For Racelis, becoming an official Bayo Girl adds a new memory to the ones she shared with her mother. A brand she first knew through its children’s clothes is now part of her adult life, with her own work, plans, and sense of style shaping what she wears.
JD Sports opens at SM North EDSA
JD Sports has added another Quezon City location with the opening of its sixth Philippine store at SM North EDSA. Located on Level 2 of North Towers, the branch opened on Oct. 14 with footwear, apparel, and accessories from global sports and fashion brands.
Its roster includes Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, Asics, and On, alongside the retailer’s own labels. Shoppers can also browse “Only at JD”—a selection of exclusive products and launches developed with partner brands. These give regular sneaker and sportswear shoppers something different to look for alongside familiar names.

Opening offers include in-store promotions and a limited-edition gift-with-purchase tote bag, available while supplies last. The North EDSA branch joins existing stores at Trinoma, Bonifacio High Street, Glorietta, SM Mall of Asia, and Ayala Center Cebu.
