From wellness to tech: New drops from lifestyle brands

Lifestyle brands are finding more ways to fit into the little routines that make up our day. This week’s new arrivals span wellness, everyday carry, and audio, with Moom making its Philippine debut, Sunnies expanding its lifestyle lineup, and JBL introducing new gear for home and on the go.

Moom officially lands in the Philippines

Founded in Singapore by sisters Mili and Maya Kale, Moom grew out of a problem that will sound familiar to anyone who has ever stood in front of a wall of supplements and wondered where to begin. Maya had been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (now known as polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome) as a teenager, and the sisters’ experience researching supplements eventually pushed them to build a women-focused wellness brand of their own.

Since launching in 2021, Moom has positioned itself around the idea that women’s wellness rarely fits neatly into a single concern. Its range stretches across hormonal health, digestion, stress, sleep, feminine health, skin, and hair—with nutritionists, naturopaths, and women’s health practitioners involved in its formulations.

For its Philippine introduction, the brand is putting the spotlight on what it calls The Foundations—five staples meant to cover some of its core wellness categories. There’s Happy Hormones for hormonal and menstrual health, Mellow-Mag for sleep and stress support, Healthy V for vaginal and urinary wellness, plus de/bloat and meta/boost for digestive and metabolic support.

What makes Moom interesting in an already crowded wellness space is its flexible approach to supplements, with routines designed to adapt to different needs rather than follow a one-size-fits-all model.

Sunnies Run returns with new releases in tow

Sunnies Studios has been stretching well beyond eyewear for years, building out a lifestyle world that now includes beauty, coffee, hydration, merch, and spaces designed to bring all of those categories together. That broader lifestyle approach is carried into this year’s Sunnies Run, which returns to Ayala Triangle Gardens on Oct. 4 with 12,000 runners and a first-ever 21K alongside its 5K, 10K, and 1K Pets categories.

The event also doubles as a first look at several new releases, with two of the more interesting additions tapping into how people spend their time outside the house—with their pets or heading somewhere sunnier.

For pet owners, there’s Pet Pals, a new collection built around days out with a furry companion. It includes a collapsible On-the-Go Pet Bowl for water or food and a limited-edition collaboration with Brazilian pet lifestyle brand Zee.Dog. The lineup brings together a hands-free leash with special Sunnies Flask accessories, making the collection feel particularly suited to walks, runs, and weekends when both pet and owner are coming along.

Also returning is Sunnies x Islander, which gives the familiar Filipino slipper a Sunnies treatment. The latest drop comes in three new colorways—inspired by the idea of a Filipino island escape, with each pair packaged in a limited-edition mesh shoe bag.

JBL wants to soundtrack more than just the party

JBL is celebrating its 80th year in audio, but its latest releases are less about looking back than about how many different parts of daily life now come with a soundtrack. Founded in 1946 by audio engineer James B. Lansing, the brand has moved from professional sound and recording studios into home entertainment, portable speakers, headphones, and gaming.

Its latest Philippine rollout—unveiled through Sound Amplified—stretches across portable speakers, whole-home audio, earbuds, soundbars, gaming headsets, and PartyBox systems. Rather than centering the launch on a single device, the range reflects how differently people listen depending on where they are and what they are doing.

For portable listening, the JBL Pulse 6 pairs sound with a customizable 360-degree light show, with new ambient settings such as Sunset Mode and a Bedside Lamp function that make it useful beyond parties. At home, the new JBL Cove system lets speakers work individually or connect across different rooms, so whatever you are listening to can follow you around the house.

Then there are the moments that call for something louder. The PartyBox 330 and PartyBox Ultimate 2 are made for gatherings and karaoke nights, while JBL’s new earbuds, soundbars, and gaming headsets cover everything that happens in between.

Whether the plan is cooking dinner with music on, disappearing into a game for a few hours, or turning the living room into karaoke night, the range is designed to move easily between the different ways sound fits into everyday life.
