Gifting local without breaking the bank

Avatar

Locally made crafts are often seen as inaccessible to regular Filipino shoppers because of the high price tags that come with them. It’s hard to fault merchants, though, as it reflects a business model that centers on giving value to workers and the materials they use.

Furthermore, locally made products sustain communities and traditions, so there’s a need to ensure craftsmen and their kin will be able to survive and thrive on their income, allowing them to not just continue their craft but also pass it on and improve for future generations.

Lifestyle combed the booths at Presente by Artefino (ongoing until today, Dec. 1, at The Fifth at Rockwell, Power Plant Mall) for mindful Filipino-themed holiday gift ideas that won’t break the bank.
