Global hub of anime music launched
Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has partnered with Spotify to present listeners with specially curated playlists and a dedicated shelf on Spotify’s global Anime Hub.
Anime isn’t just a trend—it’s a phenomenon. On Spotify, the global streams of anime music have skyrocketed by 395 percent since 2021. In the Philippines, streams of anime almost tripled with more than 339,838 anime music playlists created on Spotify.
Fans have also long embraced anime culture, from packed conventions to passionate online communities, contributing to the vibrant global anime community.
Spotify’s Anime Hub offers listeners the experience to discover, explore, and celebrate the best of anime culture. The hub features Spotify’s playlists like “Anime Now,” “Anime On Replay” and “Women of Anime,” complete with bespoke playlist covers.
