‘Green Mondays’ for lunch buffet

Avatar

The Westin Manila recently introduced Green Mondays as a lunch buffet feature in Seasonal Tastes, as part of its sustainability efforts to add variety and empower choice among diners.

Green Mondays will feature dishes made by a guest chef or those created in collaboration with a homegrown brand, explains executive chef Rej Casanova.

The featured dishes will be part of the buffet’s One Dish Wonders section, served à la minute on tasting plates.

To kick off Green Mondays, the hotel collaborated with Dan Puga, executive chef of Burrow Café in Antipolo.

The well-loved café is located within a subdivision. There’s a lush space with large panel windows that open up to the surrounding greenery.

Casanova says, “This is an excellent opportunity for residents of the city to taste some of his popular creations at the Antipolo café. We also collaborated on a zero-waste menu, which will be served at the Seasonal Tastes’ lunch buffet. You can catch Chef Puga every Monday until Dec. 9.”
