Ayala Malls Manila Bay recently hosted another sports event, featuring Asia’s top pole vaulter and celebrated Filipino athlete EJ Obiena.

Hundreds of fans gathered at Ayala Malls Manila Bay for an action-packed afternoon, where Filipinos had the unique opportunity to meet Obiena up close. The event included a meet and greet, photo opportunities for 300 lucky fans and a discussion with Obiena and other elite Filipino athletes.

Volleyball phenom Alyssa Valdez, women’s football team captain Hali Long, and karate gold medalist Jamie Lim joined Obiena in sharing intimate glimpses into their journeys and lives as athletes representing the Philippines. Their stories aimed to inspire more people, especially the younger generation, to engage in sports and contribute to nation-building.

The event also served as a fundraising effort for “EJ’s 6-Meter Initiative,” which aims to elevate the future of Filipino athletics by installing pole vaulting pits across the country.
