Ihaw-Sarap, Unli-Saya moments in a year of Kaing Mang Inasal

Press Release

As Mang Inasal turns 22 this month, the Philippines’ Grill Expert reflects on a year filled with flavor, milestones, and meaningful connections with members of ‘Mang Inasal Nation.’

Anchored on the 2025 Kaing Mang Inasal branding campaign, Mang Inasal continued to celebrate togetherness, Filipino food traditions, and the joy of sharing great meals, one Ihaw-SARAP plate and one Unli-SAYA guest at a time.

The year saw Mang Inasal rolling out exciting product campaigns and collaborations that further energized the brand.

CreamyYESSummer with Fyang Smith

Fyang Smith stirs excitement over Mang Inasal Extra Creamy Halo-Halo

Gen Z darling and PBB Gen 11 Big Winner Fyang Smith made waves during the summer months and brought new excitement to the Mang Inasal Extra Creamy Halo-Halo through the nationwide CreamyYESSummer caravans, store activations, and online dance challenge.

Meanwhile, The Dessert Museum in Pasay City hosted an interactive “HALO-HALOverse” exhibit that celebrated Mang Inasal’s Extra Creamy Halo. Visitors who explored the museum’s Instagram-able sections learned fun facts about the dessert via the Halo-Halo Hotline; FLANTASY, Halo-Halo Anatomy, and the Giant Halo-Halo Bowl.

The CreamyYESSummer campaign got further boost when Mang Inasal launched the 4 Cheese Halo-Halo—a playful yet indulgent twist on the Filipino classic, featuring Selecta Quezo Real Ice Cream, cheesecake bites, grated cheese, and leche flan, topped with milk powder and a specially crafted milk mix. The limited-time offering instantly became a favorite among dessert lovers so much so that Mang Inasal brought it back during the holidays, delighting long-time Mang Inasal customers and new fans alike.

One-day Pork BBQ Blowout

Customers attest to the juicy, lambot sarap goodness of the Mang Inasal Pork BBQ.

In July, grilled food lovers were treated to Mang Inasal’s one-day Pork BBQ Blowout where the two-piece Pork BBQ with rice and spiced vinegar was sold for only ₱50. A caravan also brought the juicy and tender Pork BBQ to numerous customers nationwide.

A spicy variant has been gaining a huge following since its launch in November. This limited time offer runs until Jan. 16, 2026. Both regular and spicy Pork BBQ now come in 20-stick Party Size, ideal for gatherings.

The Kaing Mang Inasal campaign has the best-selling Mang Inasal Chicken Inasal at its primary driver. The product has always been the major draw in all of Mang Inasal’s over 570 stores nationwide. Brand Ambassador Coco Martin hyped the product’s Solb sa Laki offer in a 15-second video that aired in Q3 this year.

All these highlights embodied the spirit of Kaing Mang Inasal and served as an invitation for Filipinos to enjoy their meals their way, whether solo, with family, with barkada, or with their officemates.

“Kaing Mang Inasal reflects how Filipinos truly enjoy food together, with love, and in ways that are uniquely their own. These product and campaign wins were all rooted in one simple goal—to give our customers more reasons to smile every time they visit us. We listened, we learned, and we delivered experiences that made every meal more special,” said Mike V. Castro, Mang Inasal President.

Coco Martin and Iloilo local officials lead the reopening of Mang Inasal’s first store at Robinsons Place Iloilo

Mang Inasal marked several historic milestones in 2025. The grand reopening of Mang Inasal’s very first store in Iloilo, complete with the unveiling of its future-ready 5G store design, symbolized how far the brand has come, while honoring where it all began.

The reopening celebration also featured the unveiling of the Heritage Wall, a Dinagyang-inspired performance, and a heartfelt number by the Don Bosco Boys Home Choir, symbolizing Mang Inasal’s community ties.

Meanwhile, Mang Inasal’s network now has four drive-thru facilities, the most recent one in Sto. Tomas Batangas. This, together with its takeout and delivery, continued to provide customers wider options that allowed them to enjoy Kaing Mang Inasal anytime and anywhere they please.

Mang Inasal is also proud that it is the first quick service restaurant included in the Google Wallet when it was launched this December.

Programs such as MI UNIVerse and the partnership with The Dessert Museum further broadened the brand’s reach into youth culture, lifestyle, and immersive experiences.

“Partnerships allow us to become part of our customers’ passions, their travels, their celebrations, and their everyday stories,” Castro said.

“On behalf of the entire Mang Inasal family, I would like to sincerely thank our customers for making 2025 an Unli-Saya year for us,” said Castro. “As we move forward, our commitment remains the same: to bring people together through Ihaw-SARAP food, and Unli-SAYA dining experience.
